Testing & Manufacturing after the IPR

Posted on

Just to recall the events of the past weeks, last Friday we completed the Integration Progress Review (IPR). During the IPR we set a tight schedule for the upcoming two months during which we will complete the manufacturing of the experiment and the tests that are required to pass the next review, the Experiment Acceptance Review (EAR), scheduled for middle November.

In order to give you the idea of how the schedule looks like, we just let you take a look at it!!

This last Friday, The SCRAP Experiment successfully went through its Integration Progress Review (IPR)! The majority of the SCRAP team gathered in the Alfvén Laboratory at KTH to hold a short presentation and discuss our current status with Alex Kinnaird from SSC. The overall conclusion is that our progress is well on track in most aspects and we will be allowed to continue working.

Among the main points discussed were the contents of our documentation, the design changes made since the last review and our plan for work up until the launch in March next year. We also presented the hardware that has been manufactured so far and demonstrated its functionality.

The next documentation deadline for SCRAP is the 30th of October, which is closely followed by the Experiment Acceptance Review (EAR). At that point the vast majority of manufacturing, testing and analyzing for the experiment should (will) be complete!

We want you!
