REXUS stands for Rocket Experiment for University Students and is a programme which allows students from ESA member countries to carry out scientific and technological experiments on sounding rockets. The programme is funded by Swedish National Space Board and German Aerospace Center, and technichal support if given from experts at ESA, DLR, SSC, and ZARM throughout the project. 

The  launch of the rocket is made from SSC, Esrange Space Center in northern Sweden.
